When Is A Ranger Not A Ranger?

Adam is giving a report in Ms. Appleby's class. Adam: This kaleidoscope shows us how light is refractor. You start with normal white light, and then the light enters the kaleidoscope and breaks into a million pieces. Take a look. Adam passes the kaleidoscope to a classmate. Ms. Appleby walks up to the front of the class. Ms. Appleby: Nice report Adam. Questions anyone? Skull raises his hand. Ms. Appleby: Intelligent questions? Skull thinks for a moment and then lowers his hand. Bulk: I have an intelligent question. Bulk asks a question unrelated to the topic. Ms. Appleby emphasizes questions about Adam's report. Bulk tells Skull, which the rest of the class can hear, he didn't understand a word of Adam's report. The class is then dismiss.
In his palace, Lord Zedd had been watching the classroom. Goldar, Baboo, and Squatt are with him. Lord Zedd: When is a Ranger not a Ranger? When his image is scattered to bits. And a Ranger is in danger when his memory is on the...Squatt: On the fritz? Lord Zedd: I would have gotten it. Squatt: Yeah, in a couple of million years. Squatt and Baboo laugh together. Lord Zedd: Goldar, go get me that kaleidoscope. Goldar is ready to go and will take some putties with him. Lord Zedd walks over to Squatt and Baboo. Lord Zedd yells at them to never finish his sentences again. Baboo and Squatt cower in fear.
Kimberly, Billy, and Tommy are out by the lake. Kimberly has Adam's kaleidoscope and she is enjoying the images she is getting. Suddenly several putties arrive. The three teens battle the putties. During the battle, the kaleidoscope is dropped. Billy, Tommy, and Kimberly defeat the putties.
Lord Zedd and Goldar had been watching the battle. Lord Zedd creates Scatterbrain from the fallen kaleidoscope.
The ground shakes. Kimberly spots Scatterbrain. Billy tells his friends they need to morph. The three teens morph. Scatterbrain hits them with a beam. The three Rangers demorph and have no memories. Tommy, Billy, and Kimberly are confused and they are unable to help each other. In the Youth Center, Rocky, Aisha, and Adam are amusing themselves with a device. Bulk & Skull walk in and walk up to the counter. They are dressed in western gear and Ernie asks them what they are up to. Bulk tells him it is very top secret and then Skull lets it slip that they are going on a stakeout to find out who the Power Rangers are. Bulk spots the device on the teens table and walks over, followed by Skull. The device has metallic balls that bang against it each. Bulk & Skull sink lower as they watch the balls. Rocky is amused and then leans over and whisper to Bulk - you are getting very sleepy. Bulk & Skull then fall asleep. The three teens communicators go off. Aisha, Adam, and Rocky leave the Youth Center. Once they leave, Bulk & Skull wake up. Adam, Rocky, and Aisha teleport to the Command Center. Zordon has them go to the viewing globe. The viewing globe shows Billy, Tommy, and Kimberly being attacked by Scatterbrain and losing all their memories. Rocky, Aisha, and Adam are stunned. Zordon wants them to go to the park and retrieve them. Tommy, Kimberly, and Billy are vulnerable and Zordon does not want anything to happen to them. Zordon warns the three to be careful of Scatterbrain. If Scatterbrain gets them, there will be no more Power Rangers. Aisha, Adam, and Rocky teleport out. At the park, Tommy decides he is going to look for something that may jog his memory. Although Tommy does not go very far. Billy thinks that is a good idea, although the chances are slim. Kimberly notes Billy's speech and asks him if he is one of those intellectual types. Billy has no way of knowing. Adam, Rocky, and Aisha land in the park. They spot Kimberly, Billy, and Tommy. Aisha cautions her friends that they will not know who they are. They overhear the last piece of information and Rocky tells Billy that he is a straight A student. Billy notes his name, Billy the Brain. Aisha tells Kimberly they are best friends. Kimberly is hesitant. Aisha tells her they go shopping every day. Kimberly thinks that is pretty pathetic and Aisha notes the monster must be really powerful to make Kimberly forget shopping. Tommy is told who he is as well. Rocky, Aisha, and Adam tell Billy, Tommy, and Kimberly they need to go with them. Tommy, Kimberly, and Billy are almost fearful to leave with them. Goldar and several putties arrived right behind them. Goldar offers to help them with their memories. Kimberly, Billy, and Tommy decide they will take their chances with Aisha, Adam, and Rocky. The teens then teleport out.
The six teens teleport to the Command Center. Aisha, Adam, and Rocky walk up to Zordon as Kimberly, Billy, and Tommy freak out over where they are. Billy is amazed at Alpha 5 and Alpha 5 can't believe Billy doesn't remember him. Kimberly's reaction is the same as when she first entered the Command Center. Adam asks Zordon why he doesn't just make them Power Rangers. Zordon can't - without their memories they do not have the strength of character require to be Power Rangers. They need to resolve the problem as it will required six Rangers to defeat Scatterbrain. Aisha asks Adam, since he knows some much about light, if there is a way to return their memories. Adam thinks for a moment. Adam thinks if they use prisms on Scatterbrain, they might be able to return their friends' memories. Rocky instructs Adam to take Billy with him to his lab. Rocky and the rest will keep Scatterbrain on the outskirts of town. The teens teleport out.
Bulk & Skull's stakeout is on the outskirts of town. Skull is ready to leave when four flashes of color land in front of them. It is Aisha, Kimberly, Rocky, and Tommy. Bulk & Skull are stunned. The dweebs are the Power Rangers. At first, they can't believe it. Then Bulk realizes they have them. Bulk & Skull inch up closer. Meanwhile, Adam and Billy teleport into Billy's lab. Billy is very impressed by the lab and assumes it is Adam's. Adam tells him it is his lab. Adam asks Billy where are the prisms, but Billy had no idea. Adam and Billy search the lab for the prisms. Back at the fields, Scatterbrain casts his beam at the four teens. They leap out of the way. Aisha and Rocky morph and ask Tommy and Kimberly if they are okay. They are. Bulk & Skull are amazed at what is being played out before them. Scatterbrain continues to fire at Red Ranger and Yellow Ranger. The two Rangers continue to leap out of the way, but they need the prisms and quickly. Adam and Billy teleport in. Bulk & Skull are surprised that it is more dweebs. Adam and Billy display the prisms and Scatterbrain fires at them. Now Adam has no memories as well. Yellow Ranger and Red Ranger race over to Billy and Adam. Just as they reach them, Scatterbrain hits them as well. The two Rangers demorph and the prisms land in front of Bulk & Skull. Aisha and Rocky have no memories. The six teens stand around in confusion. Bulk & Skull did not want to see the end of the Power Rangers. They take the prisms and face down Scatterbrain. Although they are very nervous, they have a showdown with Scatterbrain. Bulk & Skull and Scatterbrain draw. Scatterbrain hits the prisms out of Bulk & Skull's hands. Bulk & Skull are hit and are knocked to the ground. The prisms are hit as well and as they fly through the air, they hit the six teens. Suddenly the six teens are morph and they remember everything. The Rangers rush over to make sure Bulk & Skull are okay. Bulk & Skull suffer only a memory loss of what had just happened out in the field. They think the Power Rangers saved them and the Power Rangers tell them they were the ones to save them. Up in his palace, Lord Zedd is furious over Bulk & Skull's interference. Lord Zedd throws down his grow bomb. Scatterbrain grows to giant size. The Rangers quickly summon their zords and form their Megazord. The Rangers battled Scatterbrain and destroy him.
Bulk & Skull are at the Youth Center. They are telling the large crowd gathered, how they saved the Power Rangers. Since they have no memories of how they saved the Power Rangers, they tell their own tale. The crowd does not believe them and soon the crowd breaks apart. Bulk & Skull make their way over to the counter. Kimberly and Aisha had walked into the Youth Center and witness the whole event. Feeling pity for the heroes of the day, Kimberly and Aisha walk up to Bulk & Skull. At first, Bulk & Skull think Aisha and Kimberly had come over to make fun of them. Kimberly and Aisha tell them they do believe their story. Bulk & Skull want to know why. Aisha and Kimberly start a list of their good traits, despite them being strange. Bulk & Skull add their own good traits to the list. Skull also adds that they are available. Bulk asks the girls out for a double date. Kimberly and Aisha turn them down and leave. Bulk & Skull remain at the counter, unable to get dates even when they save the day.
