Tommy arrives at Angel Grove High School late, because he forgot to set his alarm.  Kimberly stops by, but Tommy is in a hurry because he is late for Ms. Appleby's class.  He races off forgetting to shut the locker, which Kimberly does for him.  Ms. Appleby's class has started and Tommy tries to slip in, but Ms. Appleby catches him.  Ms. Appleby gives the class an assignment that they must ask a friend to tell them what their biggest fault is and change it.   Bulk & Skull try to get out of it by asking Ms. Appleby if there is nothing wrong, do they have to the assignment.  Ms. Appleby assures them if their friends can't get find something, she will.  Tommy jokes with Bulk about the assignment, but Bulk merely replies that Tommy will be lucky if he remembers the assignment.  This causes Tommy to stop and think.

After school, Tommy and Jason work out, but Tommy is distracted.  Jason notices and asks him what is going on.  Tommy tells him about the assignment and asks Jason what he thinks is his biggest fault.  Jason tells him his biggest fault is that he is forgetful.  Jason leaves and Tommy joins Trini and Kimberly.  Tommy can't get over the fact that he is forgetful.  Trini and Kimberly tell him that they will help him with the problem.  Bulk & Skull stop by their table to give Tommy a hard time and then leave.  Kimberly and Tommy are walking in the park when they are attacked by the Green and Pink Rangers.   Tommy and Kimberly have a difficult time and the Green and Pink Rangers leave in triumph.  Kimberly tells Tommy that Rita has come up with her own version of Rangers again.  They leave for the Command Center.  Jason, Zack, Trini, and Billy are there as well.  Zordon tells them that Goldar has distributed Badges of Darkness to four putties to become the evil Rangers.  There is no evil Red Ranger at this time.  Unable to do anything at this time, the Rangers return to their lives.  To keep himself occupied, Billy had made a device that alerts Tommy to the next thing he has to do.  Tommy likes the device and thanks Billy.  The following day Kimberly tries to help Tommy to remember by tying strings around his wrist - a trick from her grandmother.  The device Billy made malfunctions and then Tommy remembers that he left home the notebook that Trini had organized for him.  Tommy leaves and Kimberly concludes that Tommy was doing better before they started to help him.  Zordon contacts the Rangers and tells them that Rita Repulsa had selected Commander Crayfish to lead the evil Rangers.  Kimberly asks about Tommy, and Zordon tells them that Tommy is not answering his communicator.  The Rangers morphed and battle the evil Rangers and Commander Crayfish.  Tommy races back to his school and his locker.  Tommy finds his communicator and contacts Zordon.  Zordon tells Tommy that the Rangers need him and Tommy morphs to help the Rangers.  The Rangers have a difficult time against the evil Rangers and Commander Crayfish.  They retreat back to Command Center.  Zordon gives them weapons that looks like their old ones, but more powerful.  The Rangers return to the battle and their new powerful weapons help.  The battle escalates to Zords, and the Rangers soon defeat Commander Crayfish and the evil Rangers.  The following day, at school, Kimberly and Trini tell Tommy that it's okay to have faults.  Jason, Zack, and Billy joined them telling Tommy that your true friends will accept you as you are.  They all watch Bulk & Skull stroll down the hall dressed in tuxes.  Bulk & Skull present Ms. Appleby with a gift.  Ms. Appleby insists that Bulk & Skull open the gift as she just had her nail done.  Bulk & Skull have no choice but to open the gift and have silly string spray all over them.
