Tommy and Zack are sparring at the Youth Center. Eventually Tommy uses his leg to side sweep Zack and Zack is knocked down on the mat. Tommy asks Zack if he is okay? Zack replies yeah. Tommy helps Zack back up on his feet. Zack compliments Tommy on the karate move. Tommy returns the compliment by telling Zack, he wasn't so bad himself. Tommy and Zack walk along. Zack asks Tommy about the dance. Tommy replies that he hasn't asked her. Zack can't believe it. Tommy explains that he is nervous. Zack tells Tommy, that Kimberly is going to say yes, but you have to ask her first. Tommy thinks about what Zack said, as Zack reaches for a board. Tommy asks Zack, so you think I should ask her today? Zack replies, don't put it off, man. It's time to make your move. Tommy makes a flying kick and breaks the board in half. Tommy and Zack have gone back to sparring. After awhile, Zack flips Tommy onto the mat. Zack tells Tommy, he has lost his focus. Tommy blames Zack - you got me thinking about Kim. Zack helps Tommy back up on his feet. Zack tells Tommy, the sooner you ask Kim to the dance, the sooner your mind will be at ease. Trust me. Tommy doesn't quite buy it. Tommy replies, if you're such a pro, let's see you in action. Zack is more than happy to demonstrate his moves on Angela. Zack gives a play by play. First you have to catch her eye with your walk. Angela gives Zack a look and continues her way to the counter. Tommy grins as he watches. Zack continues. Then you have to impress her with some smooth spins, which he then demonstrates. Angela continues walking. Zack concludes - finally you just have to bust some moves. Zack does some great dance steps, but none of them impress Angela. Zack slides over to where Angela is standing at the counter. Angela tells Zack to get a life, before walking away. Zack is heartbroken. Tommy walks up to him, laughing. Tommy jokes, real impressive buddy. Bulk and Skull walk in. Bulk remarks, real impressive, if you're trying to get a date with a carnival geek. Skull laughs. Bulk asks them, what's the matter? You guys can't get a date? Zack replies, if you guys are such experts, why don't you teach us? Bulk pulls up his jacket over his head and zips it so only his face is sticking out. Bulk recites a poem to them. Roses are red. Violets are blue. No girl in the world is going to go out with you! Skull laughs once more, but not for long. Bulk is stuck and can't remove his jacket from his head. Skull tries to help him out of the jacket and they both end up falling onto the floor. Tommy and Zack laugh. Zack calls over a few of the girls at the Youth Center as he and Tommy walk over to where Bulk and Skull are laying on the floor. They decide to recite a poem as well. Roses are red. Violets are blue. We sure can learn something from you.....not! Everyone laughs. Later, Tommy and Kimberly are walking through the park. Kimberly asks Tommy, what did you want to talk to me about? You sounded so serious over the phone. Tommy hesitates and stalls as he tries to find the courage to ask Kimberly to the dance. He eventually tells her, well I wanted to know.....Kimberly prompts him, yes. Tommy continues, if you would like to....Kimberly asks him, like to what Tommy? Tommy confesses that he doesn't know how to ask her this. Kimberly tells Tommy they are friends. You can ask me anything. Tommy tries again. Kim, I was wondering, if maybe, you would like to go to the....suddenly several Putties arrive. Tommy calls out a warning. Tommy and Kimberly fight the Putties. Initially, Tommy and Kimberly do well against the Putties. During the battle, Kimberly's morpher falls to the ground and a Putty gets a hold of it. Tommy is still battling his batch of Putties and is unable to help Kimberly. Kimberly goes after the Putty with her morpher. The morpher goes flying through the air and lands by some rocks. Kimberly flips over to the rocks. But before she can grab her morpher, a Putty grabs a hold of Kimberly and she can't break free. Another Putty comes along and they have a good hold on Kimberly. Tommy is knocked to the group by his batch of Putties. The three Putties yank him to his feet and have a firm hold on him. Tommy tries to break free, but he can't. Kimberly screams out, Tommy, my morpher! Tommy replies that he can't reach his. Goldar appears. Goldar commands the Putties to take him. The two Putties drop Kimberly and race over to Tommy. Goldar slams his sword into the ground. A golden glow surrounds Tommy and the Putties and then they vanish. Tommy and the Putties appear in another dimension. Goldar steps out of the fog and comments, just like old times, Green Ranger. Tommy wants to know what this is all about. A Putty releases his hold on Tommy and flips over to Goldar to hand over Tommy's morpher. Goldar is pleased to have the morpher. He commands the Putties to leave him to me. The Putties vanish. Goldar tells Tommy to get comfortable. Rita has big plans for you. Tommy refuses and charges towards Goldar. They fight. Goldar kicks Tommy and Tommy lands on the floor. Goldar laughs as Tommy gets back up. Tommy tries to get a hold of Alpha 5 via his communicator. Goldar tells Tommy your telecommunication device doesn't work in this dimension. Tommy asks Goldar, why am I here? Goldar replies, it's simple. If you serve Rita, you can keep your powers. If not, you'll lose them when the candle burns out. Tommy asks, what candle? Goldar replies, the green candle. Goldar moves aside and behind Goldar is the green candle. Goldar laughs. Goldar tells Tommy, it's made of very special wax. Once it burns out, Rita will have stolen your powers. Goldar laughs again. Tommy is in disbelief. Sparks start shooting from the candle. Tommy tells Goldar, he's not going to let him get away with this. Goldar remarks, like to stop the candle from burning, be my guest. Tommy runs towards Goldar and lands a kick on his chest. Tommy and Goldar fight. Goldar hits Tommy and Tommy goes flying. Tommy gets back up as Goldar laughs. Goldar tells Tommy, you are doomed! Tommy glances at the candle and then back at Goldar. After awhile, Goldar tells Tommy he is being called to battle. Tommy glances over at the green candle. Goldar catches his look. Goldar tells Tommy, don't get any foolish ideas, Ranger. The candle will be safe while I'm away. Goldar uses his sword to create a chain that bonds Tommy. Tommy struggles against the chain, but he cannot break free. Goldar laughs once more. Goldar teleports out. Tommy continues to struggle against the chain as he anxiously watches the green candle burn. Eventually, Goldar reappears in the dimension. Goldar is happy to report your miserable friends are losing the battle. Goldar uses his sword to remove the chain around Tommy. Tommy tells Goldar, he will not defeat them. Goldar replies, when she has your power, Rita will be able to defeat everyone. Tommy claims, she will never have it! Goldar disagrees, she will, see how it burns. Goldar challenges Tommy, like to try stopping it again? Tommy runs towards Goldar and they fight once more. Goldar kicks Tommy in the stomach and knocks him to the floor. Tommy gets back up and is ready to fight once more. Goldar tells Tommy, face it Green Ranger, you're trapped. Tommy leaps in with a kick. During the fight, Tommy manages to wrestle Goldar's sword away from him. Tommy tells Goldar, I saw how you got here. Now let's see if it works in reverse. Tommy slams the sword onto the floor as Goldar tries to grab the sword away from Tommy. They are teleported to the park. Goldar has his sword, but Tommy fights Goldar and breaks free. Tommy tells Goldar, see you later gold guy! Tommy morphs and teleports out. Green Ranger joins the rest of the Rangers in their battle against Dragonzord, which is actually an imposter. Green Ranger summons the real Dragonzord with his Dragon Dagger. Dragonzord and Megazord battle the imposter Dragonzord. Soon the Dragonzord imposter is revealed to be Cyclops, who also assumes Megazord's form. Eventually the Rangers are able to defeat Cyclops. After the battle, Tommy and his friends teleport to the Command Center. Tommy tells of his experience in the dark dimension and the green candle. Unfortunately, Tommy's worst fears are confirmed as Zordon tells them Rita is capable of taking Tommy's powers with the green candle.
