Angel Grove High School is doing the play Rumpelstiltskin. Rehearsals are in one of the classrooms. Mr. Caplan is overseeing the production. Billy is the director. Trini is his assistant. The cast includes Kimberly as the miller's daughter, Jason as the King, Skull as a court jester, and Bulk as Rumpelstiltskin. Zack and Tommy are watching play rehearsal. The cast goes through their lines. All goes smoothly until Bulk misses his cue. Bulk hasn't been paying attention and Trini points out that he has missed his cue. Bulk quickly starts doing his lines - with a little Bulk flavor added to it. Mr. Caplan asks Bulk where is his costume? Bulk replies that he is just adding a touch of the 90's. Mr. Caplan checks his watch and then tells Bulk to get on with it. The play rehearsal continues. Bulk is very rough with the spinning wheel. This upsets Kimberly as it is her grandmother's spinning wheel. Bulk tells Mr. Caplan that Kimberly is making him mess up his lines. Bulk spins the spinning wheel way too fast. The wind from the spinning wheel makes Mr. Caplan's toupee fly off. Bulk starts laughing. Kimberly gets really mad. Kimberly checks the spinning wheel and is furious to find it is broken. Kimberly yells at Bulk that he has ruined her grandmother's spinning wheel. Mr. Caplan calls a break before anything else gets broken. Kimberly, Trini, Billy, Jason, Zack, Tommy, and the rest of the kids walk out with Mr. Caplan. Later, Kimberly dejectedly enters the Youth Center and walks up to the counter. Ernie immediately notices something is wrong. Ernie asks her what is with the long face? This is not like you. Kimberly explains that she feels bad about her grandmother's antique spinning wheel. Ernie asks what happened? Kimberly doesn't know - it's stuck or something. Not only is this going to ruin the play, but I'll never be able to face my grandmother again. Ernie comments that's a tough break. Tommy walks up and asks Kimberly what is wrong? Ernie answers. She is worried about her grandmother's spinning wheel. Kimberly adds that it's just has always been very special to her. What am I going to do if it's really broken? Tommy tells Kimberly he bets he can fix it. Tommy suggests they take a look at it. Kimberly is very relieved and thanks Tommy. Kimberly and Tommy leave the Youth Center. Kimberly and Tommy are walking down the school hall. Kimberly thanks Tommy for his offer of help, she really appreciates it. They reach the classroom and Tommy holds the door open for Kimberly. Kimberly enters, and then Tommy. Kimberly immediately notices the spinning wheel is missing. Tommy and Kimberly look around the classroom, but can't find it. Kimberly becomes alarm when she doesn't see the spinning wheel anywhere in the classroom. Kimberly and Tommy try to find the spinning wheel. Kimberly and Tommy head over to the Youth Center to ask the kids there if they had seen the spinning wheel. Kimberly and Tommy split up and ask various teens if they had seen the spinning wheel. No one has seen it. Kimberly and Tommy look at each other from across the room and shrug. A few moments later, Kimberly sadly sits by herself. Soon, Trini, Billy, Jason, and Zack come and sit by her with long faces. Kimberly looks at them and she smiles a little. Trini asks her what is the matter? Billy adds you look quite distressed. Kimberly replies you are not going to believe this, someone walk off with my grandmother's prize antique spinning wheel. Zack tells her that is awful. A few moments later, Jason's communicator goes off. Billy, Jason, Zack, Kimberly, and Trini get up and walk over to where the lockers are. It is Zordon and he tells them it is urgent they get to the Command Center. We have a desperate situation. The five teens teleport to the Command Center. Zordon informs the teens that Rita has sent the Wheel of Misfortune. She created it by using Kimberly's spinning wheel. The teens are directed to the viewing globe, which shows Tommy has been captured by Putties - this is to keep Tommy out of the way. Kimberly and her friends can't help Tommy as Goldar and Scorpina are on the rampage. Kimberly and her friends morph and teleport out. The five Rangers arrive with their Blade Blaster drawn. Goldar and Scorpina blast them and knocked them off their feet. Pink Ranger and the rest of the Rangers quickly get back up and battle the two with their Blade Blasters. Soon, Goldar and Scorpina grow to giant size. Pink Ranger and the rest of the Rangers summon their zords. Goldar quickly throws a net over Tyrannosaurus. Goldar and Scorpina battle Tyrannosaurs, who is unable to move because of the net. Sabretooth Tiger comes racing, firing blasts at Scorpina and Goldar. Mastodon joins Sabretooth Tiger in the race to save Tyrannosaurus. Scorpina blasts them both. Tyrannosaurus is knocked to the ground. Green Ranger arrives with Dragonzord. Dragonzord fires at Goldar and Scorpina and knocks them to the ground. Dragonzord removes the net from Tyrannosaurus. Wheel of Misfortune comes flying through the air. It hits both Dragonzord and Tyrannosaurus. The Megazord is formed. The power sword is summon. The Megazord tries to destroy the Wheel of Misfortune with the power sword. Meanwhile, Dragonzord is battling Goldar and Scorpina. Red Ranger summons Titanus. When Titanus arrives, the Ultrazord is formed. The Ultrazord fires all weapons and the Wheel of Misfortune is destroyed. Scorpina and Goldar retreat. After the battle, Kimberly and her friends return to Angel Grove High School. They are elated over winning their battle. Kimberly is still concern over the missing spinning wheel. They enter the classroom and Kimberly is stunned to see the spinning wheel is back and it now works. The following evening, the Youth Center is hosting the play Rumpelstiltskin. The play goes smoothly except for the mishap of Bulk tearing his pants when he bent over.

Zack is at the Youth Center, practicing his dance moves for an upcoming dance contest. Kimberly, Trini, and Jason are watching Zack practice. Kimberly shouts out great moves Zack! Jason tells Kimberly and Trini he's going to blow them away at the dance contest this week. Bulk & Skull walk up and stand behind Kimberly, Jason, and Trini. Bulk tells them he thinks Zack is going to blow it at the dance contest. Skull laughs. Zack has overheard their words and is trying not to let it upset him. Zack does a dance move and gets very close to his friends. Kimberly panics and jumps out of the way. Her drink spills all over Bulk. Zack tells Bulk he is sorry. Zack is upset with himself - he doesn't feel he has what it takes to win. Bulk is very angry. Bulk follows Zack out onto the floor. Bulk tells Zack he's got what it takes to make him lose. Within a few moments, Zack and Bulk are having a dance off. Kimberly, Trini, and Jason watch them. Zack does really well with his dance moves. Bulk tries, but can't match Zack's ability. The crowds are impressed with Zack's dance moves and amused by Bulk's. Bulk ends up crashing into several columns that are on the floor. Both Bulk & Skull end up on the floor. Everyone laughs. Billy joins Kimberly, Jason, and Trini. Zack walks over to them. Kimberly tells Zack guess you taught them a new dance. Tommy walks over and agrees - crash and burn. Everyone laughs, except for Zack. Zack tells them he just tripped himself up. Just like I'm going to do at the dance contest. Zack walks away. Billy and Trini think Zack doesn't have enough confidence in himself. Jason tells them Zack's cool. He'll get over it. A large electrical storm arrives. It is strong enough to shake the Youth Center building. The teens inside panic and race out of the building. Kimberly, Trini, Billy, Jason, and Tommy cling to each other. Trini shouts out what is going on? Kimberly is confident that it is Rita. Ernie shouts he hates when this happens as he races out. Jason leads his friends to a empty area of the Youth Center. Bulk & Skull go running past them screaming. Jason tells his friends we got to contact Zordon and he does so. Zordon tells the teens he is picking unusual power surges from Rita's moon base. The energy is more massive than I have sense before. Rita may be harnessing a power I'm not familiar with. Be on your guard. Jason tells his friends they got to find Zack. Kimberly, Tommy, Jason, Trini, and Billy race towards the door. They stop when they hear kids calling for help. It is Tommy's students. Tommy tells his friends, he can't leave his students. Go now, I'll catch up. Jason tells him I understand. Kimberly, Billy, Jason, and Trini race outside. Kimberly, Billy, Jason, and Trini soon located Zack outside. Zack looks upset when they reach him. Jason tells him bad news bud. Trini tells Zack that Zordon has told them Rita is about to start something. Kimberly tells them it already has and points up into the sky. Several Putties arrive. Kimberly, Jason, Zack, Trini and Billy battle the Putties. Soon, Goldar and Scorpina arrive. Trini becomes alarmed. Guys, we are surrounded! Jason tells her not for long. The five teens morph. Pink Ranger, Blue Ranger, Red Ranger, Black Ranger, and Yellow Ranger battle Scorpina and Goldar. Red Ranger uses his Power Sword in the battle. While they battle, a giant Mutitis arrives in Angel Grove. Mutitis heads straight towards the Rangers. The five Rangers summon their zords. The zords arrive and the Rangers immediately leap inside them. The Megazord is quickly formed, first in tank mode and then in battle mode. Red Ranger shouts let's go get ugly man! Mutitis has a chained ball that he throws against the Megazord. Sparks shoot out of the Megazord and falls to the ground. Red Ranger warns the rest that he is moving in closer. Megazord battles Mutitis. Red Ranger tells the rest of the Rangers if they keep this up, they'll finish him. Rita appears on a balcony of a building. The Power Rangers spot her. Red Ranger tells the rest they need to keep their guard up. Rita tells the Rangers that Mutitis is nothing next to the monster I have in store for you next. Rita summons Lokar. The Megazord is battling Mutitis as Lokar is summon. Suddenly the sky becomes dark and Megazord pauses in it's battle. Lokar arrives. Red Ranger asks who's that? Rita has definitely learned some new tricks. Rita warns the Rangers - just wait till you see what Lokar's breath of doom does to my monsters. It will blow you away! Rita commands Lokar to make Mutitis more horrible still. Lokar blows his breath of doom and Mutitis transforms to an even uglier monster. Rita and Lokar laugh. The Megazord and Mutitis battle once more. From his chest, Mutitis shoots out red and yellow electric bolts, which hit the Megazord. The Megazord fell to the ground. Suddenly the Rangers could hear the sound of the Dragon Dagger - it was Green Ranger. The five Rangers were happy to see him. Rita was not. Dragonzord arrived at the battle. Green Ranger leaped on top of Dragonzord. Dragonzord used it's tail to knock aside Mutitis. Mutitis hit the ground, but quickly got back up. The Megazord also got back up and stood beside Dragonzord. Megazord and Dragonzord battled Mutitis. Mutitis leaped high into the air and kicked Megazord in the chest. Mutitis then battled Dragonzord. When Dragonzord and Megazord were side by side once more, Mutitis shot out more electric bolts at them. Sparks started shooting out of the Megazord. Lokar laughed, as did Rita. Mutitis then shot out toxic foam. It landed all over the Megazord and Dragonzord. Red Ranger became alarmed when he realized it was toxic foam. Dragonzord and Megazord fall to the ground. The Rangers were ejected and fall down through the sky and onto an island. Kimberly, Billy, Jason, Zack, Tommy, and Trini land on the trunk of a tree. The six teens quickly get off the tree. Trini asks what happened? Jason replies that he doesn't know. Maybe one of Rita's spells transported us here. Jason asks if everyone is okay? Billy replies that it appears they survive the transdimensional journey intact. Zack tells them not quite intact - my communicator is gone. The rest quickly realize their communicators are gone as well as their power coins. Tommy points out that they can't even contact Zordon. Trini remarks I guess we are on our own. Jason suggests they look around. Kimberly agrees - maybe they can figure out where they are. Jason leads the way as they explore the island. Kimberly, Billy, Tommy, Trini, and Zack stick very close to Jason. As they explore the island, Tommy admits the place is starting to freak him out. Kimberly feels the place is weird - it feels like these bushes have eyes. Zack stops his friends and tells them he swore he saw...but he doesn't finish the sentence. He tells them to forget it. A loud piercing sound makes Kimberly, Jason, Tommy, Trini, Billy, and Zack cover their ears. Kimberly asks what is that noise? Trini comments someone is seriously out of tune. Zack walks ahead of his friends, searching. Zack spots something which confirms that he knew he saw something. Zack hides behind a bush and motions his friends over. Kimberly, Trini, Tommy, Billy, and Jason soon join him. They see a small figure playing a flute. Kimberly calls out a hello. The figure quickly jumps up to his feet. Kimberly asks him if he can help them? She mentions Rita, but doesn't get the opportunity to finish her sentence. The person tells them to stay away and don't come near! That wicked witch has sent you here. A friend of hers is no friend to me. You can't fool Quagmire. Quagmire then vanishes. Kimberly walks over to where Quagmire had stood and turns around and faces her friends. She asks if it is something she had said? The six teens continue to walk around the island. Suddenly an image of Goldar's face appears in the sky. He asks them if they lost their precious power coins? You'll soon lose more than that! Pineoctopus, Pudgy Pig, Eye Guy, Snizzard, and Shellshock appear. Kimberly points the monsters out. Zack is not happy. Oh great! No coin, a tone deaf little person, and an island full of monsters. Trini points out they are monsters they have already destroyed. Pudgy Pig, Eye Guy, Snizzard, Shellshock, and Pineoctopus race towards the teens. Jason shouts that they are attacking. The teens get into fight positions. The monsters are almost at them when they suddenly vanish. Billy comments that was weird - they disappeared. Tommy asks what kind of place is this? Goldar replies a place where nothing is what it seems except the danger. Welcome to the Island of Illusion. Zack starts freaking out - this is too weird. I don't think I can handle this. Zack walks away from his friends. They follow him. Zack starts screaming. Kimberly, Jason, Trini, Billy, and Tommy have caught up to Zack. They don't see the snake Zack is screaming about. Tommy asks Zack what is the matter? Zack points to the branch and tells them that's the matter, that huge snake. Kimberly, Tommy, Billy, Jason, and Trini don't see a snake. Kimberly tells Zack there is nothing there. Trini confirms there is no snake. Zack starts shouting I hate snakes! Zack screams get it away from me! Trini tells Zack, really there is no snake there. Tommy adds come on, dude, get it together. You're seeing things. Billy believes Rita is trying to make us doubt ourselves and use our own fears against us. Zack breaks away from his friends and stands some distance away from them. Zack tells them we can't fight something like that. Zack starts not feeling so good. Kimberly points out that Zack is fading. In a puff of smoke, Quagmire appears. Quagmire tells Zack if Rita makes you doubt and fear, soon you are going to disappear. Quagmire then vanishes in a puff of smoke. Billy tells Zack he means your lack of confidence is causing your body to dematerize. Jason shouts out come on Zack! Fight it! Don't let Rita get you! Zack tries, but he continues to fade. Goldar's image appears in the sky once more. He tells them it's no use Power Rangers. You can't fight your own worst fears. One by one you shall all fade away. Forever! Goldar then laughs.
