Zordon was an intergalactic being trapped in a time wrap by Rita Repulsa. Zordon kept a close eye on Rita, and when she escaped, Zordon knew the time had come to summon his warriors. Zordon choose five teenagers with attitudes to become Power Rangers. Zordon choose Kimberly, Trini, Billy, Jason, and Zack to become Power Rangers. Zordon kept a close eye on his Rangers and always have information for them on the various monsters and villains they encountered. The Rangers would formed a close bond with Zordon and he with them.
Zordon once had a human form and battle putties himself when he was in the Dimensional Gap. He was saved by the Singing Squash which he had. The sound of the Singing Squash chased the putties away.
Rita Repulsa was determined to destroyed Zordon. Rita created her own Green Power Ranger and sent him to destroyed the Command Center. Zordon had been in a meditative state and had urged Alpha 5 to recharge when the Green Ranger entered the Command Center. Zordon was alerted to the Green Ranger's presence by Alpha 5 - who cried alert. Zordon realized that Rita had chosen a Ranger and tried to stop the Green Ranger. Zordon was disconnected from this dimension by the Green Ranger. Alpha 5 and Billy tried various ways to bring Zordon back. Each time, Zordon tried to get the message to the Rangers about the Green Ranger, but ended up fading away. Eventually Alpha 5 was able to bring back Zordon. Zordon informed the Rangers that destroying the Sword of Darkness would break the spell Tommy (Green Ranger) was under. Once the Sword of Darkness was destroyed, Tommy became good again. This was no surprise to Zordon who knew of the prophecy of the Green Ranger. Zordon welcomed Tommy and Tommy began working for Zordon.
Eventually Tommy would have to give his power coin to Jason to prevent Rita Repulsa from gaining control of the power. For a time, the team was back to five Rangers. Rita Repulsa sent Dramole down to the Angel Grove Youth Center to take all the parents at Parent's Day. Desperate to get their parents back, the Power Rangers gave their power coins to Goldar. Goldar tricked the Rangers and did not release the parents. All the Rangers were upset at letting Goldar trick them. Jason pointed out that Goldar did not have all the power coins and revealed Tommy's coin. Tommy was transported to the Command Center. Zordon used his own energy to fuse Tommy and give him his power back. Tommy became the Green Power Ranger again and was able to get the rest of the power coins from Goldar. The energy required for this mission, made Zordon disappeared. The Power Rangers used their five power coins to bring Zordon back. The Power Rangers were once again six member. Although, Zordon constantly reminded the Rangers, that Tommy's powers were on a limited basis.
Rita Repulsa was replaced by Lord Zedd. Zordon had been prepared for such an event and had more powerful zords, the Thunder zords, ready for the Rangers.
When the Green Ranger's powers were gone for good, Zordon and Alpha 5 embarked on a secret mission. Zordon created a new Power Ranger created out of the light of goodness. The new White Power Ranger would become Tommy.
The Peace Conference had come to Angel Grove. The committee was to select three teens from the area. The three selected were Trini, Jason, and Zack. Zordon congratulated the three chosen Power Rangers. But before the three left, Zordon had one last mission for them. The Power Rangers had to go to the deserted city to retrieve the Sword of Light. It was difficult, but the Rangers managed. Zordon had chosen three new Power Rangers. When the Rangers returned to the Command Center, Zordon revealed that Aisha, Adam, and Rocky were to be the new Power Rangers. The power was transferred using the Sword of Light, with a little help from Zordon as well. Trini, Jason, and Zack left for Switzerland.
The Rangers had been a part of a group of students selected to go to Australia to represent the US. Zordon felt it was a safe time to go as Lord Zedd was taking his recharge nap. Zordon also permitted Alpha 5 to wander outside the Command Center. Alpha 5 returned to the Command Center, not himself. Despite Zordon's attempts to reason with Alpha 5, Alpha 5 tricked the Rangers into teleporting to the Spectre Theater where they would have no powers. Zordon tried to warn the Rangers, but Alpha 5 muted him. Alpha 5 also alter Zordon's looks. Zordon continued to try and reason with Alpha 5, reminding him that the Rangers were his friends, but Alpha 5 soon dissolved Zordon. Zordon was brought back by Billy.
Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa reverted time, making the Rangers young children. To help during this crisis, Zordon contacted the Alien Rangers. The Alien Rangers arrived on Earth, and after several battles, were able to defeat Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa's plans. Time reverted back to the correct time, and the Rangers were teenagers again. The Alien Rangers returned to Aquitar. One of Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa's plans did work. They had sent Goldar and Rito Revolto to destroyed the Command Center, and they were successful. Zordon already had a backup plan in case of the Command Center's destruction. A new outpost was put together, the Power Chamber. Zordon continued to guide the Power Rangers through this new era. The Power Rangers now took their power from the zeo crystal and became Power Rangers Zeo. Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa and their crew had temporarily fled. The Machine Empire was set to take over Earth, and Zordon and the Rangers were determined to stop them. Zordon also had additional help with Billy in the Power Chamber. Billy had given up his crystal to Tanya, so that he could help behind the scenes.
Alpha 5 told Zordon of Lerigot's arrival on Earth. Zordon had sensed his presence as well. Zordon sent Tommy and Kat to find and bring back the weaken Lerigot. He told the Ranges that the Lerigot would not survive the sun's rays. Tommy and Kat brought Lerigot back to the Power Chamber. Divatox contacted Zordon and the Power Rangers. Divatox wanted the Rangers to trade Lerigot for the former Rangers Kimberly and Jason. The Rangers left with Lerigot and Lerigot surrendered himself. The Rangers were determined to rescue Lerigot and his family and Kimberly and Jason. Zordon equipped the Rangers, except Rocky who was hurt, with new Turbo powers. Zordon gave the Blue Turbo Power to Justin.
Zordon summoned the Rangers. Lerigot was there as well. Zordon had stunning news for the Rangers. A wormhole had opened that lead to Eltar. Lerigot had come to tell Zordon that he had been given his freedom. Although it was hard for Zordon to tell good-bye to the Rangers, he would have someone else come in to take his and Alpha 5's place. Alpha 5 was also returning home to Eltar. Zordon was anxious to get home to his family. Divatox and Elgar tried to prevent this from happening by trying to destroy the wormhole. The Rangers were able to stop them and return to the Power Chamber. Zordon said his final goodbyes and left his tube. Zordon and Alpha 5 journeyed through the wormhole and Lerigot informed the Rangers that they had made it home, before leaving himself.
Zordon returned to the Power Chamber for the historic transformation. Zordon was in the ceremony chamber and told the Rangers how good it was to see them again. Zordon also told the Rangers he wanted to be there for their historic transformation. Zordon also revealed that Alpha 5 had returned as well. Zordon watched as Kat, Tanya, Adam, and Tommy talked to each of their chosen replacements, Ashley, Cassie, Carlos, and T.J. Zordon and Alpha 5 returned to Eltar after the ceremony.
Zordon and Alpha 5 built robot replicas of the new Turbo Power Rangers. The robot Turbo Power Rangers were tested on Earth for several days to see if they endure evil.
Zordon sent a transmission to the Power Chamber. Zordon told the Rangers that he was happy to see them, but wished the circumstances were different. Zordon told the Rangers that Eltar was under attack by evil forces. Zordon told the Rangers he knew that they would want to help, but that they had to stay on Earth and protect it. Later, Dimitria learned that Eltar had fallen. Dimitria and Blue Senturion left for Eltar - concern over Zordon's safety.
Zordon was captured by Dark Specter and held prisoner. On the Cimmerian planet, Dark Specter announced to the evil assembly gathered, that he had captured the mighty Zordon. Zordon was in an containment tube. Dark Specter told the evil assembly that lava was being transfer into the containment. Once the tube was full of lave, Zordon's power would be extinguished forever.
For a time Zordon was held captive on the planet, Hercuron. Zordon had to endured Divatox's gloating smile as she saw him captured in his container. The Piranhatrons quickly placed a cover over Zordon and he was unable to see anything.
Quantrons brought Zordon to the Dark Fortress. The Quantrons set Zordon on the bridge of the Dark Fortress and there was a cloth covering the tube. Astronema pulled off the cloth. Zordon's tube was halfway filled with lava. Astronema told Zordon he was almost out of energy. Zordon could see on the screen that Dark Spectre had launched an attack on the entire universe. Zordon told Astronema that she would never succeed. Astronema told Zordon that he had a front seat to the end of his era and the beginning of hers. Zordon began to address Astronema as Karone. Zordon told Karone that she could stop this before it was too late. But Astronema continued with her attacks. Zordon asked Karone if she was so full of evil that she would attack her own planet. Astronema merely smirked. Later, through Dark Spectre's demise, Astronema became the Queen of Evil. Zordon tried to reason with Karone. Zordon pointed out that she was no longer under Dark Spectre's command. Zordon asked Karone to search her heart, that she was not evil, and put an end to the destruction. Karone had walked slowly towards Zordon as he talked to her and appeared to listen. Her circuitry went into overdrive, and Karone clutched her head in pain. When it pass, Astronema told Zordon, that not only was she evil, she was the Queen of Evil.
Zordon remained captive on the Dark Fortress. Andros had entered the Dark Fortress and was surprised to find Zordon there. Zordon told Andros that there was not much time left and that Andros had to shattered his energy tube to release the good energy. Andros asked Zordon what would happen to him. Zordon replied that he would be gone, but that his spirit would live on in all that was good. Andros was about to shattered the tube, but couldn't bring himself to do it. Andros told Zordon that there had to be another way. Astronema entered and they battled. During the battle, Andros defended himself and unintentionally struck Astronema. Astronema fell to the ground, lifeless. Ecliptor entered the room and was greatly upset to see Astronema lifeless. In the confusion, Zordon insisted to Andros that it was his duty as a Power Ranger to save the universe and to shatter his tube. Andros told him good-bye and shattered the tube. Zordon's energy wave swept through the Dark Fortress, reducing Ecliptor to dust. It continued throughout the universe turning the villains to the dust. With the exception of Rita Repulsa, Lord Zedd, and Divatox who were returned to human form.
