Shawn
Shawn is a karate student in Adam and Rocky's class. Shawn stumbles through some of his moves performing his kata, which cause the other kids to laugh at him. One student in particular, Butch, wanted Shawn off the team. Butch felt that Shawn would cause the team to do poorly in the finals. Adam and Rocky reprimanded Butch. Adam decided to give Shawn some extra help. Adam and Shawn practiced at the Youth Center, until Bulk and Skull came in with their version of a kata. Shawn and Adam left for more room and headed to the park. Shawn practiced with Adam until he felt more confident. Shawn headed back to the Youth Center to do some homework. Lord Zedd spotted a hyena in Shawn's book and this gave him the idea to create Skelerena. Goldar faced Adam in the park. Goldar revealed the Mirror of Regret - it show images of Adam when he was young. Adam began to lose confidence in himself, until he saw an image of Shawn performing really well. Adam's confidence returned and he was able to help the other Rangers defeat Skelerena. Later, Shawn performed his kata seamlessly. Butch was impressed and apologized for giving Shawn a hard time.
