MR. CAPLAN
Mr. Caplan - Henry Cannon
Mr. Caplan is the principal of Angel Grove High School. He wears a toupee that is always coming off, but he insists on keeping it. Mr. Caplan places a great deal of emphasis of the word "detention" when sending students there. His most frequent students in detention are Bulk and Skull. Although he did send Kimberly, Trini, Billy, Jason, and Zack there as well. On occasion Mr. Caplan would substitute for Ms. Appleby's class.
Strolling down the halls of Angel Grove Hall, Mr. Caplan would have something unfortunate happen to him. When the water fountain had been tampered with, Mr. Caplan got soaked with laundry detergent. When Bulk and Skull practiced football, Bulk ran into and knocked Mr. Caplan down. Of course, Mr. Caplan lost his toupee in the process. Mr. Caplan was over knocked over when Billy and Zack thought their friends were putty. Instead of saving Mr. Caplan, they knock him off his feet. Mr. Caplan lost no time in sending Billy and Zack to detention.
Mr. Caplan was once placed under a love spell by Miss Chief. He fell in love with Miss Appleby and was willing to fight over her with Lt. Stone. Finister later showed up with an antidote and the spell was broken. Instead of fighting with Lt. Stone, Mr. Caplan introduced himself.
Mr. Caplan was at the class of '97 graduation. Mr. Caplan noticed that three of his students had left the ceremony and he followed them. He came up behind Adam, Tanya, and Kat and reminded them that the graduation ceremony was about to begin. Adam, Tanya, and Kat explained that there was an emergency and that they had to leave, but that they would return. When it was time for Kat to give her speech, she had not returned yet. Stalling for time, Mr. Caplan went into a long winded speech about past field trips. His speech put most of the audience to sleep. Mr. Caplan was very happy when Kat, Adam, and Tanya returned. Mr. Caplan gave the microphone to Kat.
Mr. Caplan had received a note from Miss Appleby telling him that Cassidy wanted more time before taking a major test. Mr. Caplan found Cassie daydreaming at the bottom of some stairs. Mr. Caplan told Cassie that Miss Appleby had told him that Cassie had been busy with several projects. This was not good enough for Mr. Caplan. He told Cassie she would take the test as schedule and she needed to sort her priorities.
